Andrew and Joseph are brothers who
like all other sibling quarrel more often than not. Although they do not
agree on everything, their kinship binds them very closely. With their
mother whom they both love and fear, they know that they must stick together,
and make the best of what they both have.
Andrew
Being the older brother, Andrew feels that it is his duty to protect, and teach his his little brother, Joseph. Although he picks on his Joseph often, he feels that he does it for his brothers own good. Most of the time it comes as a punishment for having to take the rap for his little brothers mistakes. So Andrew likes to take the lead, and set the rules. Andrew can be self conflicted, so when he knows he's wrong, he will be sincere, and admit his faults, and even punishes himself. As a result of being the oldest, learning on his own without a father figure, he looks towards role models, both real and fictional to learn from (like Bruce Lee, Mr. Miyagi, Mr.R, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Captain Planet, etc.)
Joseph
Although he's a trouble maker and a brat, Joseph looks up to his big brother. He plays along with just about everything his big brother says and does, but Joseph is not dumb. He will put his foot down, and take what's his. Joseph's wild behavior comes from his ability to become distracted very easily, leading himself into mischief.
Andrew and Joseph's togetherness is bound the strongest when they are at their grandmother's house where they both feel the most free.
In the next two pages that follow I get into a little more detail about these two main characters in the form of character bibles. These character bibles contain details that are not directly applied into the animation, but are necessary to get a better understanding of who they are, allowing me to a clearer understanding of who they are, and a better idea of how they respond to their environment.
